Artist's Biography
Janelle Cox is an accomplished Colorado artist who knows how blessed she is to have the opportunity to do what she loves most-paint!!! Inspired by the works of John Singer Sargeant, Joaquin Sorolla and George Ennis, her own personal style has developed into a realistic approach of refined elegance. Being a versatile painter, her artistic endeavors include a variety of subjects: capturing that single reflective moment in a portrait, the graceful elegance of a still life and the serene quietude in the surrounds of nature. These are the impressions she hopes to convey. The great sense of mood represented in her subject matter is what draws viewers to her work. Janelle has received several major awards and is a member of the Pikes Peak Plein Air Painters. Her work can be viewed at Cottonwood Center for the Arts, Hunter-Wolff Gallery in Old Colorado City and Gallery 821 in Denver.
